what a terrible experience we had on this on route. they have a self-service system with kiosks to order their food. some of the kiosks were closed and the first open we tried would not work. we finally have one who worked and we. ordered eating of popeye and tried by burger king. we were successful with the termination of the order of the papste, but we had problems with the burger king order. one of us wanted a shake with the BK order, and the shaker options would not come on the screen. After he explained to the hired that the shakes did not appear, the manager came to kiosk. He looks at the screen and explains that they did not have shakes. very frustrating. why do they give them the opt...
I recently returned from a trip to Boston and stopped at several rest stops in New York and Massachusetts for snacks and meals. They were all clean, well-maintained, and beautifully designed, with some even having small farmers markets in the front. However, on my way back, I stopped at the Napanee OnRoute rest stop and was extremely disappointed. It was filthy and disgusting, with trash scattered everywhere in the parking lot. Inside, there was even more trash, spilled and dried soda on the floor with a caution cone nearby. Bought a cheese/pita/grape/olive combo pack from the Marketplace at the Napanee location at the cost of $9.99. Two slices of Brie were placed in the plastic box in such a way as to hide the fact that one of the cheese slices was actually only...a piece of rind (garbage). Not only a ripoff but intentionally deceitful as well. Very disappointed. The Contact Us link on the Onroute website conveniently takes you to a page that says ‘Page Not Found’. Obviously they want to know about or care about any dissatisfaction experienced by their customers.
ONroute has a web site for travellers along the 400 and 401 highway corridors from Toronto north to Barrie and west to east from Tilbury to Bainsville. Stops are easily accessed and well signed. Grab a coffee& donut or fuel up with a fast food...style meal (franchise restaurants vary . At the Port Hope location there is a robotic frozen yogurt machine that gives you your treat made to order at the push of a button (even has sprinkles! . Quick, clean and spacious: These stops keep you healthy and hardy for your travel safety.
When we visited, we found the washrooms to be very clean and the eating area was equally clean, even though it was busy. The Burger King served food hot and fast, and the people at the counter were friendly, as were the people at the...Market. You can now get good coffee there, too, thereby avoiding the lines at Tim's. A good place to pull off and rest a bit.
We regularly stop in different En Route locations while traveling in Ontario. I was quite disappointed by the state of the wash rooms at this location. There was bits of paper everywhere… and a strong smell of urine in both the women’s and handicap bathroom. I...did not feel comfortable using the change table in the handicap bathroom as it was really filthy.
I forgot my wallet with in the bathroom, I realised it 3 hours down the road later. I talked to Wendy and Karan, they were both so nice. They took car of me and kept my wallet in a box during my vacation. I...piked it up with eveything inside a week later!! I offered money but they declined it. Good people !! Thanks again :
