Ooka Japanese Sushi & Hibachi Steakhouse

Ooka and I have a love hate relationship. It's popular in the area and I also frequent their other nearby location. What I don't like about Ooka is that it takes some time to find the specialty rolls for you. I do not think any of them lack imagination or flavor, they just don't all check the boxes of my personal palette. Some places you go and every one of the specialty rolls on the menu are awesome in their own right. With that out of the way, what I love about Ooka. The dining room is stunning. We have thoroughly enjoyed everything we have tried. This is the best sushi we have had in the area, and it has quickly become our favorite sushi spot. However, we were not impressed when we tried the hibachi. The food was mediocre and the noodles tasted like soy sauce.

The food was amazing, and our server, Alex, was the best server we have ever had. I highly recommend trying the omakase.
