We have just been in Roquebrun for 2.5 weeks and had drinks and/or food several times in this place (we only know it as Tabac instead of 'O Roq aqui sem pla' . The food we thought was very good and cost-effective (e.g. 6 euros for a Entenburger). We liked the fact that the grill is in full view so that you can see/smell/hear your burger and pommes prepared while you are a drink. They also have a wide range of ice and sorbet aromas. What impressed us most was the staff. Manager Clement takes the place (a combination of a newspaper shop, a holiday shop and a café/bar and works at the back, from breakfast to cleaning after the closing time (sometimes good after midnight). Clement leads this bar/tabac, which is not a restaurant, it is a café where you can get a coffee, a beer, a pastry and various snacks as well as your tobacco and reading materials and the usual beach and holiday products. It's a very casual affair with... outside the store behind a low wall that borders the street. There is a large screen where special sporting events are shown from one evening and various soirees are held with barbecues, wine, beer and a lot of sociality. Like Roquebrun, in general, nobody stands at the ceremony and you get what you pay. Finer dining experiences can be made opposite the Auberge St. Hubert.
It was not particularly busy, but it was the only place open in this sweet little town (it was a Sunday afternoon). They would not imagine that it would take more than an hour to make a croque monsieur, two panini and a hot dog, but it did....All meals finally came either in paper bags or on small card plates it was obvious that they came out of the freezer. The French are known for their kitchen, but the couple that leads this place obviously had not read that Memo!
We were really lucky to find this little snack bar restaurant open on Monday (many places in France near Monday). But then we saw the menu and was vegetarian, my wife chose the Veggie Burger (with chips and pepper sauce) she says...was the most tasty one she had for a very long time. I had the kebab salad, with French fries and also Algerian sauce mines, was very good. Well, luck on two numbers!

Food frozen and average. Only went here as recommended restaurant booked out and other restaurants close by 1.30pm!!! Frozen paninis and average burgers. When we asked for a knife the owner mocked us and said we should use our hands to eat the burger - which we shared. Only one vegetarian option- which was frozen.
