We’re repeat visitors to Oscar’s (which we used to love) only to make the very disappointing discovery that they've completely overhauled their menu without updating the OpenTable information which still reflects their former menu. The surprise change left us disappointed as our favorite dishes were no longer available, and to make matters worse, they've added a credit card usage charge that caught us off guard. A small, but very cherished detail their complimentary fresh bread and butter which was so delicious, is also gone. Our favorite dessert, the chocolate mousse cake, is (according to staff) being phased out in favor of something else. The experience was a letdown, especially considering our many previous positive experiences at the establishment. It's disheartening when a beloved spot undergoes such drastic changes without proper communication to customers. Also during our visit, we were never asked if we wanted refills, nor were any brought, which was a huge departure from the attentive service we used to receive. We also couldn't help but notice the absence of most of the regular staff we were used to. The only positive aspects to our visit were that the food was fairly good and thanks to the massive menu changes, our bill was less than half of what we spent in previous visits. Our only theory as to why things have so drastically changed is that they are under new management (though we were unable to confirm this) but all in all, it was a pretty dismal evening when compared to our previous visits.
