My first visit to Oscars in January was faultless but today we dined and some of the dishes didn't make sense. The pork entrée had very tasty protein but the accompaniments were not very good, very acidic and the grains and pickled carrot was not soft and not pleasant, the carrot puré was bad not sure if it was off or just not tastey. The scallops was suppose to have smoked trout but had black pudding. The beef cheeks were the best thing I have ever tasted and the sauces and purée were perfect but I didn't think it needed pick peppercorns and sunflower seeds. She arranged a fabulous private balcony location outside. We had our lunch at Oskars on burleigh. After reading all the good reviews, we had high expectations for the food. Definitely there is great view. Staffs are friendly. We had our 5 courses tasting menu. First the fish dumplings - bit dry with too much sauce. Scallops are nice. Crabs spaghetti is ok. Fish is good. Pork belly is very salty. We gave feed back to the waitress as well as cashier but response was nothing- oh I will let the kitchen knows !! We expect better quality food for 65 $ price tag. Overall experience is average. Maybe chef had bad day.
Have been a regular at Oscars Restaurant since they were at Greenmount Beach 30 years ago. Today's lunch was so disappointing- the barramundi was hard, dry and tasteless, the mushrooms were burnt and tasted like charcoal. The other meal, braised lamb, was also dry and the pickled vegetables didn't compliment the meal at all. When asked by the waitress how our meals were my husband replied 'awful' to which she replied 'I'll believe you next time'! We can assure you there will not be a next time after 30 years of regular dining for lunch and dinners.

Another amazing dinning experience at Osakars last night. It is our favorite local dinner venue and last night it certainly exceeded expectations. The meals were by far the best we have had there - bugs & beef cheeks. Great friendly service - helpful not pushy on the "up sell" of entrees, deserts etc like some other restaurants can be. Spectacular views. Cudos to the duty manager, Glenn for running such a great venue & offering such a wonderful experience. We can't wait for our next date night at Oskars!
Daytime view along the coast is unbeatable. Food was delicious and well presented. Helpful friendly staff recommended dishes to suit a small appetite for middle of the day. Side of brussel sprouts not a dish I would otherwise have chosen but was delicious. As we dined mid-week the restaurant was not crowded, probably need to book on weekends
Wonderful dining at Oskars on Burleigh and the service was exceptional especially Jess our superb waitress who was informative attentive and so friendly that we enjoyed our dining of the tasting menu which we can recommend. The manager and barman gave us wonderful service as well. An enjoyable evening with good food great service and wine.
Food was amazing , service was amazing , the view is to die for , right on the beautiful Burleigh beach , can't wait to go again ????

One of the best places to have a meal on the coast. Its not cheap but if yoj want to lash out this is the place.
Food and views great highly recommend for couples wanting a lovely evening out. Service was discrete.
