Absolute disgusting re cooked reheated chips , Fancied a treat and went in order battered jumbo and chips ,was told waiting on chips,I waited good 10/15 mins expecting freshly cooked chips ,get home un wrapped and was greeted with re fried chips that were simply uneatable battered sausage was plain ,and the only eatable thing ,what a waste of £8.80 In future I will go in the swan and enjoy a fresh cooked meal !!! Totally disgusted good job bin men not been yet today as these going straight in food bin
I have used this shop before occasionally but have never been impressed with the fish. (dry) Chips are ok. Really wanted some fish n chips because it was the only one open on a Sunday evening. Fish was already cooked,, under the heat lamp. Probably been under the heat for ages . Fish was incredibly DRY. ABSOLUTELY Awful. Left half of it. Need to wait for it to be freshly cooked I think. Can only give it one star. Waste of money. Threw half away. I DONT RECOMMEND IT .
From my personal experience time and time again, and supported by the feedback from my out of town guests, this is one of the BEST fish and Chip shops in England! The Fish is always tender and moist, with a crunchy batter, The chip portions are extremely generous, and the staff are very pleasant and greet you with a smile.

Ordered by phone and when we arrived they gave us some chips while they packed everything up. These are great chips. Best I’ve tasted in a while. We had cod and a selection of pies with the chips. Very enjoyable.
We stopped off here for lunch today. We had some of the best fish chips that we have had in ages. It was cooked from fresh and was lovely. We will definitely be visiting again.

Wonderful fish and chips,ive eaten here for over thirty years,always excellent,the only problem is that they are not working 24 hours a day
Love this place. Friendly guys very generous with the portions and they often give you a small chips while you wait.
