we stayed at albergo della posta and ate there in the evening. Although the waiters were in stress and had to run around, they were always friendly, flott and speditiw. especially the wood stove pizza and the panna cotta (homemade!) are highly recommended. as we have heard from other guests, the vitello tonato should also taste fantastic. the osteria della posta is surely the best address in morcote or a garant for a good meal. you can also see how well frequented the restaurant is. I'm sure we'll be back in there next time in morcote.
the della posta in striking yellow house has again a new owner. finally worth visiting again!The service is very nice and fast! we had all different dishes and were very satisfied. especially the rösti were good. everything is clean and tidy. the restaurant offers a great view of the lake and offers two boots. very hot days you should not be there too early for dinner, as it can be very warm with the evening sun. we like to come back and wish the new owner a lot of success!
After rico has left the della posta well a year ago, it was recommended for about a year less. Now, however, the restaurant can be fully recommended again. menu with larger choice and well cooked. nice - a bit shy - service and as before dreamlike view of the lake with quiet location on the traffic calmed village road.
evening among friends . menu based on fish . all sad beginning with the old and insipid mussels . risotto with the persico stracotto and too greedy . greased as the fried mixed absolutely to forget . the only good thing of the evening wines but do not make them . high price for what we ate . to forget . Well, we were cycling around the lake and decided to stop to have a carbo meal.....surprise surprise...the meal was veryyyyyyyy little!!! not suitable for cyclists!!!we expected a "normal" pasta plate !! but the portion was way toooooo small!!!and expensive!!! (although good!)
the place is nice and the location is lovely, directly on the lake. We stopped by chance at dinner time. the owner has welcomed us in an incredible way, with premura, grace and education of other times! the fondue chinoise is very good . cicciano will be back for sure!
