we stayed Saturday 13.09 for a wedding. Very nice place with a beautiful veranda where an aperitif based on meats and cheeses, accompanied with orange juice and various alcoholic aperitifs. In the Mendrisiotto region there are restaurants that are all to be discovered, as is the case of the tavern louis. I happened one night for the gastronomic festival of the bass ticino and had a dish in the menu review that had not left me excited, but because I was the one that I had chosen badly. a few months later I went back to dinner and here I opened a world... an explosion of flavors and intoxicating gooses that, finished all the dishes, and full as never, I asked for the bill and went, with a nice memory . the room is really particular, because it seems it is an old stalled, but left as it was at the origin. Saturday evening we wanted kid and kid was, in the dining room of the tavern luis, occupied in every order of table, a dish well assembled with roasted potatoes, asparagus and spinach. the meat, 5 very beautiful pieces, cooked at the right point, served with a delicious sauce. the set of meats, aged at the right point, products of first choice. excellent even bread basket, toasted croutons included! for the wines, the supplied manger does not create problems of choice. as guests of a birthday party, we have met a new address where we have not returned to the last time. sympathetic ambiente, a wonderful tessiner kitchen without shovel and excellent weine. there were numerous creative aperohaepples, a fraternity polenta with gorgonzola, but the high point was a simple risotto. an evening that we will keep in the best memory, also thanks to the lovable staff.
great place managed by young and motivated children!subito affected by the quality of food and the choice of km 0.sicuramente arrive in this place is not easy (see the narrow viettes that you have to pass by car) but it is really worth the trip. amazing place, I will return more and more.
