Upon our arrival, we nearly got knocked over by the door as a man, who turned out to be the bartender, stumbled through, coughing wetly. The bar had a foul odor of stale beer. They also forgot to turn on the lights on the terrace until two out of three bands had already performed, prompting us to leave early. The sound quality during the first band's performance was so terrible that we had to stand in the vestibule area to protect our hearing. The feedback was painfully loud throughout their set, and the owner did nothing to address the issue. The new owners, who are both LGBTQ+ and Italian, have transformed this restaurant into a vibrant space. The restroom features some of the best artwork in the city. The crows and Strohs on the menu are exceptional. Although the floors could use a little cleaning, you can even play basketball here. Overall, it’s a lovely place.

Outer Limits Lounge is an incredibly cool lo-fi spot located just on the outskirts of Hamtramck. They host fantastic shows and feature wonderful small markets. John and Kelly Jean really know how to make it work!
