There is limited Japanese in this area, so I was praying that this restaurant was going to be a little gem I'd visit all the time. Unfortunately it was far from it. Upon reviewing the menu, it is very expensive, but generally I like to think you get what you pay for. Unfortunately we did not. The Ramen - the broth was ok, however served with a few raw julienne vegetables, noodles what tasted like out of a maggi packet and a small protein of choice, for $16. To me this was uni food which I'd expect to pay $5-$10. My partner's meal was reasonably tasty, but $20 for a small lunch main is still steep. The food alone, I probably wouldn't write this review. It was the Woolworth's brand bottled 500...

It had been a few months since we were last down the Peninsula and we were eagerly anticipating our return to Oyama. First thing? The welcome was slightly muted, which we put down to some new, unfamiliar staff and on a 12 degree minus day, there appeared to be no heating, greatly detracting from the comfort especially when the door opened. There were new, large laminated menus which already had over-stickers on the prices. We did a quick calculation on our customary four entree lunch: what used to cost us $58 (including corkage) was now $71 (without corkage) - an increase of over 22%So was the food volume or quality increased to justify this? Sadly, no. The Sashimi was still good but the numb...

I used to love this place but recently the food has changed - instead of the more filling broccoli, corn & other things with the meals, e.g. the garfish, lunch bento and ramen, you get a lettuce leaf and a piece of raw capsicum. Also I received only 4 pieces of the garfish roll when you used to get 6. Did I mention the prices have now gone up $4-5 per item? That's a decent hike. Lunch bento was $15, now nearly $20. the cheapest normal bento box is over $30? Was just over $20. Makes it too expensive for us for a quick lunch any more. I understand that ingredients and staff can cost more but I can't afford a $60 lunch over what used to be $25-$30. Sad, as the food is really nice.

A small intimate but casual Japanese restaurant with a limited menu but the freshest and tastiest of authentic Japanese sushi, sashimi, tempura and other favourites such as teriyaki, okonomiyaki, pork belly, etc. They also do bento boxes. The restaurant has a funky minimalist feel, the dining area adjacent to the busy kitchen, service can be a little slow at times and more attention could be paid to swiftly cleaning vacated tables. However the food and atmosphere are incredibly enjoyable as the Japanese family running Oyama24 are very friendly and conscientious of the quality of the meals and your enjoyment. Good value for money authentic Japanese. Reserva una mesa ahora

A small casual Japanese restaurant with a small menu offering the freshest authentic sushi, sashimi, tempura and other favourites. I love the bento boxes.Diners can sit at the bar and watch the busy kitchen in action. Service can be a little slow at times. However the food and atmosphere are enjoyable as the Japanese family are very friendly and conscientious of the high quality required today. The walls could do with a fresh coat of paint and a little updating of the decor. Good value and worth dropping in for a Sashimi Boat.

Have been to Oyama24 several times, food is good but service is always slow. On our recent visit it took 15 minutes after the menus were given to have the waitress take our order and another 15 minutes before we were served a drink. We...More

A small but very intimate restaurant in Mt Eliza with a great selection of Japanese food. The Gyoza was incredible and I recommend the Sushi too. They have cold Japanese Beer too which was a nice! Plenty of easy parking too

I love this place. This is (what I imagine) is a traditional Japanese cafe. The food is excellent. The service is excellent. I can't praise it highly enough. Reserva una mesa ahora
