Place got sold, seemed to be on an uptick and now just seems to be treading water. If it was miss most of the time before the new ownership, now its just sort of hit or miss. Some days are good, some not so good. They do seem to try, but honestly, when I go there and see the owner(s), there is just a different step in their stride from when I first went there after they took over. Whatever the case may be, I was not expecting the Plaza Hotel, but better than a Red Roof Inn or a pool hall....outside of the view, not much more going for the place compared to a Red Roof Inn or a pool hall...but it is one of the few remaining places like it that are open in the area, so the choices for a nice qu...
Great cabins with a wonderful view of the Paint River. Each cabin has a back deck looking right at the river. Morning coffee, evening glass of wine or a cocktail. Place helps you breathe again. A few details needed to be taken care of in the cabins, but nothing major. Jake was always very helpful. Recommend renting a pontoon boat for the day just to enjoy the river, great at sunset. Wonderful week in the UP. BTW, restaurant is permanently closed, as is the store.
Great Kayak Rental and Shuttle! Big shout out to Paint River Landing for accommodating us with a short notice kayak rental. Did a nice easy 4.5 hour float on the Paint River and Jake not only shuttled our rental kayak to the river, but also for a reasonable fee took our owned boats so we didn't have to shuttle cars back and forth. Having a river shuttle in Iron County is a valuable resource for floaters and fishermen, and is greatly appreciated!
We rented the 18' pontoon from Jake who delivered it, launched it and picked it up the next morning from where we were staying on Ice Lake. Jake provided excellent service and was prompt, professional and super friendly. What a nice boat! We had the best day fishing on the lake and will definitely rent from Paint River Landing again the next time we're lucky enough to be in the U.P. Thanks again Jake! -Lisa and Bob

Quiet cabins, right on the river with gorgeous views! Private back deck with a trail leading to the waterfront, including a couple picnic tables and a fire pit. Modest kitchen but enough accommodations to cook meals for 3 people all weekend. The heat unit gets VERY warm (which is great) we were all comfy.
Nice cabins, though they need to spend a bit more time cleaning after guests check out.. floors were not mopped and refrigerator was dirty. Everything else was fine. The cabin we stayed in needs the old linoleum replaced with something more durable.
It was a nice little cabin...the loft was awesome and lots of places to sleep..the only complaint is it could of been cleaner there was a few food wrappers in the living room that hadn't been picked up.
Loved the view! Wasn't expecting no TV, but we made it work! Super easy to book and helpful staff!

Prices are outrageous for what is being served!!! Don't think I will return.
This place is beautiful! Definitely need to stop in for breakfast!
