The Palais is a beautifully scenic place, featuring an impressive exterior as you approach and a fantastic outdoor area perfect for enjoying cocktails and drinks while watching the sunset over the beach. In the winter, the interior is still pleasant, but the extended indoor/outdoor dining area can feel quite chilly. The food was delightful and beautifully presented. However, the drink specials listed were not accurate, and one of the bar staff members was rather inattentive—serving a mid-strength beer when a special was expected, and not following up on a request for additional seating. Came for Lunchies yesterday and our eyes were much bigger than our bellies that's for sure! Had the $1 $2 oyster special so we made the most of that and then shared jalapeno poppers they were spicy little goodies and the natural oysters in particular dam good!! Then finished off by sharing the crispy chicken burger and vege burger both were deelish but had 2take a doggy bag home. Vege burger crumbed eggplant, halumi, giant mushroom and the usual salad trimmings, but the relish made a definate mark on the flavour. This is our favorite spot whenever we visit Semaphore Beach. We often look for other restaurants, but we always find ourselves returning to Palais because of their delicious food, reasonable prices, and generous portions. I especially love their chicken schnitzel with parmi and Kilpatrick toppings. The only dish I wasn't fond of was the beef schnitzel, as it was a bit chewy and rubbery, but that's just a personal preference. The spicy chicken wings were definitely spicy and juicy! ❤️ We can't wait to come back for more calamari and wine. Thanks for having us, everyone! :D

great place, very friendly staff and good eating. we thought we had shares, so much food for three peeps. Hommus, chicken wing, arancini and sweet potato chips. all served steaming hot, delicious sauces. also the frozen cocktails were great. really well presented. if you're in town, give it to you. The seating area was fantastic, and we enjoyed sitting outside with our puppy. The staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient, making our experience even better. The food was exceptional! The oysters were delicious, and the schnitzels were perfectly crispy. The chips and salad on the side were also very tasty. I highly recommend dining here!

Two and a half points out of three for the location. Saturday lunch by the sea in the sunshine. Not much can be said about the food. Very ordinary pub grub. Salad bar and vegetable bar should have turned us away straight up. Staff all very friendly and professional. The beer was cold and all considered not a bad selection of wines.

Very nice place for a meal down at the beach! They have in the past year renovated the inside area which looks beautiful! The food is very good and I have never had a problem with the service, always quick and friendly! I'm looking forward to many summer evenings grabbing a bite to eat at the Palais and watching the sunset!

the disabled toilet is dangerous because it has a step up at the entrance that is not clearly signed and does not allow wheelchair access. I fell around and wounded my shoulder back and kneeling, so be very careful. I will not be as a meal and service very average. Reserva una mesa ahora

the beach is there! I love the pimms jug on a Sunday afternoon, sitting in the sun at a fresh beach place and listening live music is pretty sweet. Watch the daily specials as there are some of them.

to keep the ginger beer of james squire here on the tap. great place for a drink in the sun with many people.
