Palette Tea Garden Dim Sum Cǎi Yuàn

My family recently relocated from Austin, Texas to San Mateo and decided to try dim sum for the first time. We had heard great things about Palette in San Francisco and wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. We visited on a weekday and the restaurant was quite busy, but the atmosphere was lovely. We ordered a variety of dim sum dishes, including the Peking duck and Wagyu chow fun. The dim sum was delicious, especially the Shu Mai with its flavorful mushroom filling. In A Nutshell: -If you decide to come have a meal at Palette Tea Garden, your palette will thank you every time you take a bite! -Seriously, if you are looking for authentic Chinese food, this is a great place to satisfy that hunger. -The service istop-notch 5 stars they even have a robot helping out. -The surf clams were delicious, make sure you order that. Overall, ifyou live in San Mateo you already have a ton of great restaurants, Palette Tea Garden is another great option especially if youare in the mood for authentic Chinese food.

Even though I was 25 minutes late to my reservation, I still managed to get a seat at this busy restaurant. The food was incredibly fresh and served piping hot. The meat in the dishes was cooked perfectly, not too chewy or tough. Their dumplings are hands down the best in the Bay Area, with just the right amount of filling and a sturdy skin that doesn't break when you pick it up. The only downside, in my opinion, is the automatic 18% gratuity, especially since it was just a party of 2 including myself.

I believe the chefs at this restaurant may not be sticking to the recipes. My recent experience with the Black Truffle Crispy Duck Fried Rice was overwhelmed with herbs, masking its usual flavors. I always enjoy coming to this restaurant because the food is consistently excellent and delicious! The seafood noodles are especially tasty. Although I wasn't a fan of the crispy noodles, I found that pouring them over some rice made for a great combination. The custard dumplings are an indulgent and decadent dessert that I highly recommend trying.

The place is so pretty! The food is delicious and the employees are so friendly! Everything came out fast. We ordered a lot of food but it was all worth city to try and take home. Next time we come we will not come and order 17 dishes for 2 people but oureyes are bigger than our stomachs. We will definitely come back here.

This upscale dim sum restaurant takes the dining experience to a new level. While on the pricier side, it is worth a visit. There are limited vegetarian options, but the green dishes are particularly delicious. Be sure to try the vegan specialty, the Crispy Vegetable Rice Crepe.

Perfect place to get dim sum. Its perfectly packaged and quite tasty. My kiddo love love loves the pork soup dumpling. The rain is prawn rice crepe and pork siu Mai are two of my favs but I have many
