Originally, the intent was to eat out, but the in house restaurant had steak (which I use as my litmus for reviewing non ethnic restaurants), at very reasonable prices. It also had Tiramisu, (another litmus dish I use for desserts). Waitress was very welcoming and provided an excellent commentary on the night’s specials and was very accommodating regards orders made. Steak was grilled well in accordance with my own liking (medium rare), and was served with an exceptionally good mushroom sauce and beer battered chips. We stayed at the hotel for three nights and the menu didn't change. The food was okay but not really spectacular. It was too heavy for me. On our last night there, the chef agreed to make us BLT sandwiches. I strongly recommend that you consider putting some lighter food options on for dinner.
Great varied menu, excellent staff, prices are good , well stocked bar, pleasant location.To top off everything that is great about this restaurant, they allow you to split the bill when you have a large party who want to pay individually. What an added bonus.
Quiet atmosphere, romantic and service is excellent. Great waiter too. Steaks were delicious. Close to esplanade and nice sea breezes, but there is air conditioning inside too. Use the Entertainment Voucher and will return again.

The food is good, particularly the Singapore noodles, thai beef salad, portion size is big, so take two starters! Puddings obviously bought in. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice for both continetal and cooked.
The Palms restaurant is attached to the Cairns Sheridan Hotel. There is a inside and outside eating area. The food and staff are amazing. Top little restaurant.

This was one of the better bushtucker meals I enjoyed on my trip.
