What a lovely place; rustic, lots of wood but modern and cosy. Upstairs in the Mall, it's bright with a wall of windows, a huge, main wooden banquet table (I didn't feel conspicuous sharing with strangers!) floor to ceiling book cases along one wall, and cosy sofa corners on the other side, this really is a cosy little nook. I ordered a lovely plate of cold, (stuffed) vegetable antipasti, with the most delicious bread and I was SO full afterwards! It was fresh and delicious. We also ordered the cool, freshly squeezed juices too. Service was friendly (multi lingual staff!); the food prepared right there in front of us and portions were ample. I keep returning to this cafe/restaurant simply because it appears to be one of the only places in Stuttgart where one can get a decent range of sandwiches made to order. I do not want to purchase a sandwich which has been sitting in display,...bread going hard, lettuce, tomato, other fillings, curling and drying up, made heavens knows how many hours ago. Alas this seems to be the norm for sandwich outlets in this city. At Pano you order from a large and imaginative range sandwiches, some toasted/panini and it is freshly made to order and brought swiftly to you. I've been here many times, and it's always been a great experience. The food is freshly prepared, staff are friendly and they've probably got the best coffee in Stuttgart. This was the best cappuccino I've had in a while, though they serve it in tall-edged bowls. The wifi for Pano, or perhaps for the mall it's in, was lightning fast. Absolutely no lag time. I could see coming here to finish work or get...together with people for planning sessions.
