We arrived about 1:45 pm on a Saturday to find diners lined up out the door. Great sign. While waiting for a table we could watch the chef prepare the lunches in the open kitchen. Fresh fish were displayed in a refrigerated cabinet by the door. We waited about 30 minutes for a table. But it was worth the wait. There were only 3 people working (very hard I might add) in the approximately 50 seat restaurant. Our server did it all except cook. He recommended the tuna Algarve style which was in a tomato, onion and olive oil sauce. Served with round chips, it was delicious. We were the only non Portuguese speakers in the restaurant but the menu was in multiple languages and our waiter spoke Engli...
Small family run restaurant, not quite in the centre of town. Everything freshly and simply cooked. Selection of fish plus beef and pork. Nice touch bottles of wine with a label of the restaurant. Lots of local people eating here and nearly everyone I spoke to had eaten there. Price very reasonable, 25€ for two main dishes, two desserts, bottle of wine and coffee.
In the fringe of the old town, next to the Tourism School, is the restaurant which a local advised us. It’s a humble restaurant but in its kind it was a good surprise for the staff’s welcoming, for the quality of the food and for the convenient prices. Next time I return to this town I’ll repeat the experience. Enjoy!
Muito bom restaurante local português. Eles pegam o peixe mais fresco e cozinham de forma simples, mas deliciosa. Os peixes disponíveis podem ser vistos na vitrine frontal. Provamos a dourada e o salmão. Cada prato veio com batatas e legumes cozidos. Comemos tudo menos as espinhas do peixe. Reserva una mesa ahora
