I drove to Pennsylvania from California for my 60th College (Lafayette) reunion in Easton. After the reunion I visited my friends in Bethlehem PA. Judy, the wife of Lehigh Valley Hall of Fame Sports News commentator (deceased)Ted Meixell, took me to Paprikas. Both of us are 50 Hungarian and know what we like! You can check all the boxes! They had pickled beets and cucumber salad. Both were delicious. Of course they had chicken paprikas with authentic galuska( dumplings). Their stuffed cabbage was exceptional. Their palacsinta(crepes) desserts were better than my mom 's! Finally, they are a Bring your own Bottle restaurant with no corking fee! I would like to beam them to California along wit...

I ordered the beef paprikas and is was delicious! We've been here several times before and the food is always really good. Simple but satisfying and authentically seasoned and prepared. The homemade noodles were tender and tasty but the sauce/stew makes this dish very flavorful and hearty. There was plenty of melt in your mouth beef chunks and we enjoyed the side salad and warm bread with butter that came before the meal. The servings are large so we each ended taking home some leftovers. The chicken paprikas is also very good here but I'd love to try something new next time we come back!

One of my favorite restaurants in the ABE area. Hungarian Family cooking. Chicken Parikash, Stuff Cabbage, Pork Chops with cabbage noodle. Many great foods to try and I also get their nutella crepe for dessert as well. I suggest call ahead for parties if 4 or more on the weekend. They can get busy. My favorite soup is there creamy potato soup but they don't serve it all the time. It's a special they occasionally make. Must try when they do have it in though.

This is a lovely restaurant that transported me to a Budapest eatery. The food was outstanding; I enjoyed paprika chicken with cucumber salad, followed by palacsinta for dessert. My wife had the baked pork chops.

That was my dad's favorite restaurant, so my family and I chose to go there after his funeral to honor him. The meal was wonderful, as always. We all enjoyed the chicken soup and had palacinta for dessert.
