This hotel sits above the Bodensee (Lake Konstanz) and not only has great views from the dining room but it has a very extensive terrace which is covered against bad weather and sun although you can sit in the open if you want to. The selection of food was good and they were serving local Bodensee wines. If you don't want to eat lunch or dinner I believe they also serve 'kaffee und kuchen'. You can walk from Überlingen but if you're feeling lazy they have quite a large carpark.
Das Bodensee Restaurant ist ebenfalls wie das Parkhotel St. Leonhard etwas "miefig" und nicht sonderlich empfehlenswert. Da das Hotel im Wesentlichen von Gruppen frequentiert wird, empfand ich dies im Restaurant auch als recht stoerend. Das Essen war maximal durchschnittlich und nicht sonderlich liebevoll zubereitet. Alles in allem, ein Reinfall.
Spectacular view, **** poor service. So the Argentina steak is OK, but it comes with French fries. Seriously who serves fries at a four star restaurant. So I ordered Bratkartoffeln instead, and they screwed that up and brought me fries. Thoroughly disappointed with the whole experience... Would not eat here again, I'll just go into town instead.
Our group had several meals at the restaurant at the Parkhotel. The service was very pleasant and accommodating. They made several meals and variants that weren't on the menu (like fish and chips). The food was all very good and the views of the lake were sublime. Reserva una mesa ahora
Stayed for 3 nights and never left to eat because it was awesome! Got in late had schnitzel at the bar with a great friendly bartender. Next had Chateaubriand for two it was 12 and tonight phenomenal lamb chops. People friendly but use GPS to find it!!
Great restaurant and view from the terrasse onto the lake. Inside pool small and not up to standard. Rooms are modern and have great views if you are facing the lake. Rent bikes in the hotel for 9 euro per day. Great breakfast!
... but average food. In my book that makes an optimistic 4-star at best. A very good starter followed by optimistically best described overcooked poultry finishing off with ice cream and some freshly defrosted berries.
I enjoyed the food here. However, the waitress made a big deal about me being seated in her station with the Host. I had prepaid for my meals with the bike company, so I didn't know if that had anything to do with it. Reserva una mesa ahora
Birthday party in the family, very cozy, very friendly conditions, but partly dishes that had a price too high.
