Almost lost hope I couldn't find a decent Vietnamese restaurant in Chinatown anymore. Especially a go-to spot for pho. Even brought my mom, the infamous taste tester with me to try it nonetheless. Final verdict is, the pho sampling passed with flying colors for us both. How can you tell a pho dish is decent? It's all in the broth before adding any toppings. That means no hoisin sauce, sriracha, lime juice, mint, and bean sprouts. She was right because that was the first level of testing. We both each ordered a specific bowl of beef pho. For me it was the medium rare beef slices pho (the pho thit thai). This one is where the beef slices are still raw but cooks instantly when bathing in the ho...
I came here for lunch on Sunday opted to sit outside since the weather was nice enough. I tried the espresso martini (comes with soju) it was delicious. For appetizers my friend and I got the shrimp spring roll, vegetable spring roll and pork steamed dumplings. For our mains we both got the brisket banh mi sandwich and my daughter got the curry soup which was spicy but good as well. Everything was fresh, flavorful and the brisket was juicy. The staff was so nice and attentive. Definitely recommend!
This is the third review I've written for Pasture's and I'll gladly write one everytime I go....which I do, everytime I'm in New York. The staff is warm and welcoming, the place is extremely well maintained and it takes a lot of stress off to know that no matter what I order, it's going to be delicious. It's become a tradition for me to make this place my first stop off the plane. A fantastic place to eat drink and have some EXCELLENT food!
You don’t have to eat Chinese food when in Chinatown. Pasteur offers tasty Vietnamese fare at reasonable prices. The grilled pork chop, in particular, was so tender. The accompanying sides in the combination platter $14) may not be all to your liking but contrast nicely in texture and flavor. The summer rolls $7) were decent but could have benefited from extra brightness and crunch).

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in New York!!! The staff are so friendly, and the inside is very cute. The menu is really nicely designed. The food is so good and great value. I come here all the time and love everything, but I especially love the spring rolls, vermicelli bowl with pork, summer rolls, and pho. My go to place!Food: 5/5
This is my second time bringing friend here. The food we got is very nice. Love those delicate shrimp summer rolls. The medium pho will always be my favorite. Appreciate the service and the good vibes of the store. It is the best place of Manhattan Chinatown.
Although the atmosphere was not my typical upscale liking, this restaurant’s food was OUTSTANDING! They have amazing flavor, they give you plenty of sauce, the portions are big. I would definitely return. Authentic tasty foodFood: 5/5
Fast service, delicious food! Great location in Chinatown, close to train station! Love the food! Also they have more varieties that others similar restaurants! Also they have outside seating which is great in spring!

One of my favorite places in Chinatown. The Papaya salad with shrimp deserves five stars. We went for early dinner and it was not crowded. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome.
