Your version of Chicago Deep Dish Pizza is not terrible, but it doesn't come close to a true Chicago-style pizza. The crust is quite different; it lacks that buttery, melt-in-your-mouth texture and instead seems to be just the same crust used for your regular pizza, merely shaped like a deep dish. The cheese is somewhat acceptable, but again, it's not the same quality as the authentic version. As for the tomato topping, it is just not reminiscent of Chicago at all. Even if you're trying to avoid chunks of tomatoes, you should never refer to a sauce that would be better suited for pasta—like a spaghetti sauce—as pizza sauce.
