I am flummoxed by the good reviews of this venue. I would have rated it one star but for the saving grace of the lovely servers and the quick service. That being said, you should notice when I have not touched the coffee and inquire! I strongly dislike having to give this place a negative report because the people in there were quite quietly wonderful, but from the Saturday night fever sound track piping in to the food presentation, it was so stuck in the 70's it was frightening. I think part of this was part of the intentional charm - the retro sugar shakers, cream pourers, but the food! I heard some rave reviews regarding Paul's and were not disappointed. It's a cute little place, manned by wonderful, attentive staff and has a warm and cozy atmosphere.On our visit, we enjoyed a couple of their omelettes, which came with toast and a few swirls of fruit. All tasty, hot, fresh and made to order. The coffee was good and we had no complaints! Please review the photos.Lots of paid parking running along Granville. $2/hour. I wish Tripadvisor had a ranking between average and very good, as that is where this sweet little place would sit! At good.
A very pleasant way to start a Saturday is to have breakfast with a friend at this restaurant. We were there shortly after 10 a.m. so avoided having to wait. Many tempting items to choose from but I decided on the veggie omelette filled with asparagus, red peppers, mushrooms, onions, zucchini and cheese. Free range eggs are used and the omelette was moist and fluffy. Good coffee and excellent service. Well worth repeat visits!
WOW what a great breakfast, well worth the short wait. Get your name on the list be prepared for a great and filling breakfast. I enjoyed the meat lovers omelette, and a side of the freshest tomatoes in town, my wife had the bacon (only) corn beef hash and truly enjoyed it. The coffee cup was always full and the service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be adding Paul's to our every visit to Vancouver.

My friend and I decided to have breakfast for lunch so headed to Paul's at 12:30pm. Not busy so got seated right away. We ordered the Da Vinci omelette and the florentine omelette as recommended by a regular who was sitting beside us. Both pretty good but not worth waiting 40 minutes for our food! It's only eggs and toast! The waitress was also very unfriendly.
We had to wait quite a while for our dinner to be served, but that was worth it. The pan fries were nice as opposed to how I've had it before, even better with their cranberry sauce. I had the eggs with pork sausage which were very good. Friedly staff as well.
We introduced our friends from England to this breakfast locale and they like ourselves, were very pleased with the menu choices and quality of food. Our server was welcoming and had a warm smile.

I've been to Paul's many times, usually Sunday mornings I recommend getting there by 9 a.mor there can be quite a line-up.
It was a casual Monday lunchtime meetup with a friend I hadn't seen in months.
