Don't be put off by the facade, maybe it's a couple more dollars than usual and yes, it is pokey inside however, the food is a triumph. Meat dishes tender and tasty, seafood fresh and plentiful. Such a great surprise. Thanks Peking Restaurant; you've reminded me how good Chinese can be. Great staff too. Yum
The Peking seafood stir fry was fantastic,it was a good size and very tasty,I had a serving of fried rice thatI found not that great,it was a bit glucky and bland,the seafood more than made up for ,the service was great,smiling helpful staff,the drinks prices were reasonable,well worth a visit.
Hubby and I went here with group of about 18 friends for New Years Eve dinner, we had 2 tabkes, we all chose the $40 banquet which consisted of about 8 dishes including dessert, then tea/coffee. The portions were very generous and delish, the wait staff were very friendly and professional.
Not many good chinese in Northern suburbs this one rates up there. Is a little more expensive and as long as you arent in a hurry as meals take some time to come out. Quite a small compact restaurant. Have been there for a long time so must be doing something right. Reserva una mesa ahora
My wife and I chose the Peking Resturant and we are glad we did. The seafood we had was super fresh, tasty snd it came on time. The special fried rice was excellent.Staff were friendly and acomadating, pricing was affordable. Give this place a try for sure.Mark
We ordered takeaways this week which were very delectable, very full containers, not cheap but great value & quality of food. We have also dined in & it rates very highly for a suburban Chinese restaurant.
Suburban Claremont is home to the best Chinese in Hobart. Freshly prepared, good menu choices, I love the freshness of the seafood presented in an edible basket. Make sure you book as it is always busy
