We came to Peninsula Grill for my wife and her Mom’s birthday. (both on the same day) The hostess was sweet and greeted us and asked “whose birthday it was?” And was so excited when we told her we had two birthdays! She typed it into the computer, and we were seated, and received drinks. We then waited around 40 minutes for bread. We were surprised to see multiple couples and groups who arrived after us receiving their entrees, and ended up waiting around an hour and 30 minutes for ours. Came here for dessert only and it was hands down the best thing I've ever had. I tried the coconut cake and the suggested Moscato and it was the perfect ending to an already wonderful dinner. The staff and ambiance were delightful and the restaurant was not busy at all as I went on a Tuesday evening. Will come back just for dessert the next time I'm in town. Service: Dine in
Disappointed Steak was way over seasoned to the point where I did not eat majority of it. They were apologists but for a 400 meal (for 3 of us) woood have expected to be far better as I remember it to be from last visit. Sides and appetizers are too pricy for the single service quantity. From the moment you walk in, you are made to feel very special. We sat out on the covered patio, and the ambiance is perfect. Our server, Jessica, did a masterful job of helping us decide what to choose. Food and service were top notch. Will definitely return next time in Charleston.
