Three times we went there, three times we experience same issue. Normally you can smell people smoking from outside of restaurants, but not with this place. This place unfortunately has smokers working as their staff, and they smoke from the kitchen! So we smell people smoking from the kitchen, and I do not want to eat food with smoke. I just thought it was one-off, but unfortunately it is a common recurrence. If you visit this place quite often, you will smell people's smoking emanating from their kitchen. Food was OK, but I wouldn't want my food to be handled by a smoker.
Finally tried this place. The menu has always been so uninspiring to me that I haven't brought myself to trying this place. We share the giant rib eye steak and it is surprisingly good and tender. Some bits of inedible tendons but generally not bad. Unfortunately, the veg that comes with it is very uninpiring. Sweet potatoes are one of the best I've had. Lunch at Pepper Lunch is always an interesting one. You cook your own meal and add more sauce if required. We truly enjoyed the thin slices of beef that we can cook to al dente. The staff member that greeted us was really friendly and made the experience so much better.
A Japanese restaurant serving sizzling hot food. We had the Sizzlung teriyaki chicken with rice and kimchi on the side. Delicious! Food has to be ordered and paid online and served at your table. The waiters are very efficient and pleasant. Highlyrecommended.

All foods are served in a hot plate . Food will be given at 260 degree. You can toast your meat pieces in the hot place till you require it to be cooked. Food is simple and tasty. I tired chicken Curry . And it was good and filling
Wow! this place has what looks like a takeaway menu. The steak came out sizzling and hot and for the price it was a bargain. It was so tasty. Definitely one of the best steaks I've ever eaten in Melbourne.
