From the beginning the experience was decent at best. It wasn 't exactly bad; however, I don 't see myself going back any time soon. The exterior is under construction which distracted from the overall aesthetic. While the host was pleasant and a hopeful waitress in training seemed to have the right attitude it appeared as if the rest of the staff would struggle to care any less about the customers and their experience. The plates given with our appetizers were clearly dirty and after sending them back to request new ones we waited 10 minutes for a replacement set of dirty plates as our food cooled. I used Opentable to book a reservation for 7PM. The reservation was acknowledged, but I still had go back to the front desk to enquire about my reservation. Three two party couples that came in after me were seated before us. We were seated at the rear of the restaurant I was able to see the kitchen and the preparation floor. For my seat I could see the grease build on the floor with debris. At our table, there was no silverware. We had to ask for it when our appetizers came. The food was good, and they have a gluten-free menu that's safe for people with celiac disease. However, the service left much to be desired. The staff always seems to be underutilized, leading to slow service. There's one particular waiter who tends to serve us repeatedly, but struggles to follow instructions properly. She consistently makes mistakes, whether it's with the orders or issues with the bill.
Decided on a whim to go back where we had our first date. Our server was great although food and drinks didn’t come out quickly . We loved every dish (dumplings, Mongolian beef, dragon roll, Kung pao shrimp, and especially the banana spring rolls w/ coconut ice cream for dessert
