I ordered a beef sandwich. When I got home the sandwich was very dry. I called 3 times to ask if they would deliver a small container of natural sauce. They never came. Each time Jennifer said they were there and didn't have my phone number. I gave you my phone number. Jennifer said, I didn't write it down. What? Now she said they're too busy. I had a truly awful experience at this restaurant. The customer service was subpar. I brought my 4-year-old child with me, and the first thing they said was something along the lines of, "This must be the place where the bubonic plague happened." The staff spoke to us rudely, and we waited far too long for our pizza, which I had already paid for. If you give a specific pick-up time and I arrive just 10-15 minutes late, I expect my food to be ready. At the very least, if customers are going to wait for a pizza that they’ll never receive, you could at least maintain a clean waiting area. Thank you for taking my $50 and not delivering my pizza. I grew up on the North Side of Chicago, where different pizza places catered to various tastes and moods. Sorrentos, Gio's, and Frank's are all fantastic in their own ways, but Coluta's has the best deep dish I've ever experienced. I used to receive Christmas cards from them, but they can hardly compete with Phil's. Their sauce is great, the toppings are excellent, and by the time I finish 6 or 8 square-cut slices, I'm completely satisfied—no self-respecting Chicagoan prefers triangle slices! This is my FAVORITE spot for Pizza. I grab XL pizza and they load it up with your toppings and it comes with extra cheese without having to say extra cheese. They are they best and I live in the Northwest side of Chicago in Portage Park/Jefferson Park. Hands down the best pizza that isn't specialty pizza like Giordano's or Lou Malnati's pizza. I call them specialty pizza cause thats every once in awhile. I ordered a pizza with a few extra toppings. The pizza box was soggy when I got. That was the 1st sign of something not right. When I opened the box most of my toppings were in the middle making it soggy. The crust was regular thickness and super dry around the edge. I ordered ez sauce. I have been coming here for years ever since I've been a little kid. My parents would treat us to Phil's pizza on some weekends.
