All you will find are vermicelli bowls, rice plates, summer rolls, and a plethora of Vietnamese beers, and this is exactly why Summer Rolls is such a great place. This restaurant has the best rolls in town—I'm not kidding! They're truly exceptional. You absolutely have to try them; they're one of a kind, crispy, and packed with flavor. The house sauce complements them perfectly. On top of that, it's a great spot with a fantastic selection of beers. My personal favorite is their white beer; it’s smooth and always refreshing. The outdoor terrace is also lovely—it's the perfect place to relax with friends and enjoy a bite to eat. I highly recommend this place! I had the steam rice cake with shrimp powder, fried in shrimp oil, along with fried pork nem and shrimp egg rolls, and a Thai iced tea. Everything tasted fantastic and the prices were quite reasonable (the menu prices were accurate during my visit). The portions were generous, making them perfect for sharing with family. The service was quick, and I placed my order and paid at the counter. During peak hours, the outdoor seating was fine—it's first come, first served, but it was still manageable.
Wow, this place is truly a gem! The banh mi, specifically number 5, is our absolute favorite. I always order the fish sauce mixed with Thai chili to enjoy with the spring rolls—it’s just the best! I can't recommend this spot enough; it’s consistently amazing. While we usually head to Rosemead, the new location is stunning, especially for outdoor dining, and they even serve alcohol! Plus, there’s a wonderful Taiwanese dessert shop and a bakery right next door, making it a perfect place to relax.

My top craving!! We always get the rice plates or the spring rolls~ So delicious! Their portions are pretty big too. I love the sauce for the spring rolls! with the spring rollsI’d suggest to call in before you go or you’d have to wait a bit. There’s always people waiting every time I go pick up my food. The staffs are so nice too! Rosemead location closes Wednesday. Temple city location closes Monday. This spot is my first recommendation when people never know what to eat.
The indoor-outdoor setup is awesome and I love that they have a rotating tap of atypical brews. The people there are always friendly and they're not stingy with giving extra chili sauce, lol I used to live 2 blocks away so I would be in at least once a week. I usually get the lemongrass beef summer rolls but you really can't go wrong. Definitely recommend the banh mi if you're up for an Americanized twist!
We've been eating at Summer Rolls since they opened this location .The hubby and I try to visit weekly for lunch. We have never been disappointed by the meals. Rolls and rice plates are out go to. Everything is tasty and the beer selection is excellent! The food coupled with excellent service keeps as coming back!
One of the best places to get rolls! Always fresh, full of flavor and super quick service! I find myself craving their rolls all the time. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
