We prebooked for Sunday lunch several weeks ago. We arrived in good time and were shown to our table. Unfortunately, we waited 1 hour 15 mins for three roasts due to two staff not turning up. Chap behind bar apologetic and we were given free drinks . The food was worth the wait though. Delicious. Good choice of veg, plenty of gravy and I chose the pulled pork. Unusual but yummy. Homemade yorkies. Large portion.
Great family pub, can’t fault it really. Decent decor and atmosphere, food and drinks well priced. Only tried the roast dinners but they were of a very good standard. This has become our local and regular haunt of ours! Inside and outside of the pub is nice. As stayed in other reviews it really is a hidden gem.
I honestly can't recommend this pub enough, it truly is the gift that keeps on giving. Service is amazing, food is divine (the Sunday roast WOW) and the vibe is just right. Get yourselves down here and bask in the radiant sun of the Martha Gunn.
The roast was scrumptious and the service was top-notch. The atmosphere was incredible and the outdoor garden was beautiful. The added bonus of being dog-friendly makes this a must-visit spot. I will definitely be coming back! Reserva una mesa ahora
The roast is one of the best i've ever had, the staff who run it are extremely friendly and add to the whole experience. I love the vibe, very relaxing and makes you feel like you fit right in. Recommend to everyone.
Great place. Really well run. A mixture of locals and students. We had the Sunday roast in the garden. Food was excellent and I loved the fact that children and dogs were not just allowed, but welcomed.
I've been to the Martha Gunn several time and it never let me down! Food is amazing and the atmosphere too! The manager Tiago is excellent and he's wife making a such good food!! Worth it the visit!
