I visited Pie-tanza today for the first time with family. I arrived about noon and the restaurant was packed. Since reservations aren't taken, I put my name on a list. She said it would be about 20 min. Twenty minutes passed and we were told it would be 20 min for our table of 5. The hostess announced outside that our table was being cleaned. There is a daily lunch special 10 Wood-Fired 2 topping Pizza Fountain Drink or Iced Tea for $11.99. We all chose the special and I chose the Primo Pepperoni lunch special which was $4 more. BLUF: Allergy friendly, amazing One of the best features about pie-tanza is their gluten friendly menu. You can also be assured that anyone with dairy allergy can eat here safely (as long as you let them know). You can expect a low-key and casual dining experience with great service. Food comes out at a reasonable pace along with their reasonable price. Quality of food has always been my favorite part about this restaurant. My favorites are the chicken parm and the Quatro carne pizza. Highly recommend this place!!
Best chicken parm sandwich I've ever had. Super kind. Incredible service. Reminds me of being in a mom and pop italian place back in New Jersey, where you find the best italian food on the continent. Needless to say, this place is fantastic and the food is genuine Italian style, not any of the fake **** you usually find in this area. One of two Italian places in the DMV I will ever recommend.
Good calzones and pizza but service was a bit inattentive. Loved the crispy bruschetta and was excited to see spumoni as an ice cream flavor but $5 got me a smaller-than-expected scoop and it was oddly grainy; maybe not that many folks go for spumoni andit had been in the freezer too long?

I love this place, hands down. I get treated with such kindness. The pizza is sooooo good!!! I highly recommend them. They do get busy in the afternoon but the staff does a get job trying to get the flow moving. I am so glad I walked in to this place andnow it is one of my favorites.

Not only is the food great, the customer service is always excellent as well. Our last visit we ordered incorrectly on line. We alerted them, they fixed it right away and didn't bill us, which was above and beyond. Another reason we love the place.

I can?t say enough good things about this place. The staff was friendly and the food. Omg the fried goat cheese salad, pizza and chicken Parmesan was amazing. Will definitely eat here again!
