Would I dine here again? I would give it a five, probably not. Honestly, I'd rate it a 3.7. The food is decent, don't get me wrong, I'll eat here again because I know what to expect. Let's discuss... The restaurant in question is Piñatas Mexican Grill. This immediately raises my expectations for authentic Mexican cuisine, not Tex-Mex. This place seems a bit confused about its identity. My issue is with the three tacos I ordered with a side of black beans and rice. I chose the steak, chorizo, and lengua (tongue) tacos. The steak taco was alright, but the meat lacked flavor. The lack of seasoning was masked by cilantro, onion, and spicy salsa. The Lengua taco had no distinct taste, again disgu...
I had lunch at this restaurant and tried one of their lunch Combo Specials. It included a burrito with a side of tortilla chips, your choice of salsa from their salsa bar, and a small drink. The burrito was delicious, flavorful, and filling. The salsas were also tasty. The service was fast and efficient, and the staff was friendly. The restaurant has plenty of seating and is very clean. There is ample parking available. I will definitely dine here again to try other dishes.
Awesome menu, fresh food made to order by a friendly staff that's been there for quite sometime if not the entire time. Typically clean outside of a sweep. Beer, wine, soda, juice, water. Shared bathroom. Small shared parking lot. Not my favorite but rivals the top of my list and worth a ride from out east if you can fit into your travels. Plenty of shopping in the area to justify my trek that's for sure. Offer catering and call ahead take out. Cash and cards.
If you're searching for a quick and casual eatery that serves authentic home-style Mexican cuisine, you have to try out Pinata! My girlfriend loves their fish dishes, while I always opt for the Steak Shots and Jalapeño Poppers. For dessert, don't miss the tres leches cake.
