I've been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years, but recently I've noticed that the food no longer has the same flavor. The fried rice was excessively greasy and lacked taste, and the almond chicken and egg foo young were similarly disappointing. I observed that different people seemed to be taking my order every time I visited, which made me suspect that Pings might be under new management. Although I recognized a few of the cooks from the original team still preparing the food in the back, it doesn't matter if the new management is cutting corners and using lower-quality ingredients. As a result of the bland food and lack of consistency, I have decided to try another Chinese restauran...
Very tasty Chinese takeout. I typically have a hard time giving 5 stars to a take out place but it does help when choosing a restaurant so wanted you to know the food is good. We had the combos and enjoyed everything- General Tso chicken, mongo beef, beef chop suey. Two of us didn’t care for the egg roll. Like others have said go early or plan your order accordingly as they get very busy and 35 minute wait isn’t unusual even at 7pm
The food portions are massive, can't complain. I got one combo and split it until 3 meals for myself, so I didn't eat a lot to get the food coma that hit him. I haven't had that much MSG before and I felt drugged the rest of the night. Besides that, the food was ok overall. I'll try it again to see if it was just the one dish or if there's other food that is better and less MSG.
I've lived in the area my whole life and have be going to Pings for years now. I remember when their son would hang out in the front lobby or behind the front desk when he was young. Great family owned business. Their food is always hot, fresh, and good. Portions are great for the price point, also. Recommend stopping in, if you're in the area, or if you live close.

First time eating here and will have to say best Chinese in the Rochester area. The fried rice was actually fried. Other places where we’ve ordered fried rice was very light in color and mushy like they’ve taken white rice and put soy sauce on it and called it fried rice. This is now our go to place for Chinese carry out.
I was recommended this restaurant by a family member, and what a hidden gem it is! The food is amazing, no matter what I've ordered. I've tried the orange chicken, sesame chicken, and wonton soup, all of which were delicious. The portions are generous and the prices are great. I will definitely keep coming back!
Been going here as long as I can remember, it was the place my parents use to go to and now that I live a little further it still is the only place I go to. Best food, great service. I always say I can’t move someone too far from this place or I’ll never have good Chinese again, other places just don’t compare.
I’ve been coming to Pings for 25 years. The quality is always great and the service is too. I’ve never had a bad meal from them, not once. Thank you Ping family!

The food has been improving steadily. I'm not quite sure what changes they've made, but they've done an excellent job. Keep it up! The food is delicious.
I get the almond chicken every time. The chicken is nice and tender and it comes with a good mushroom sauce. Will be back.
