Located in Old Town, Pizza Bella has been around for years but it’s been some time since I dined here. I was a bit taken aback to walk in and be told by a clearly flustered waiter that it would be about 10 minutes before he could take my table even though there were ample empty tables in the restaurant. Fortunately there was a female server who was able to seat me and wait on me after a couple of minutes. Even if flustered I would not recommend that being the welcome provided to customers entering the restaurant. Mom and I visited Old Town on a Wednesday afternoon. After striking through town for hours, we read reviews and decided to give Pizza Bella a whirl. The staff was quiet, yet kind. The restaurant was quiet (it was 5 pm. Early for dinner! . We enjoyed the calm, clean atmosphere. When prompted, the waitstaff suggested the regular salad and personal pizza for us to split. He suggested the Sigma-Chi pizza. It was interesting! The menu states 'mixed sauce, sausage, bacon, pepperoni Primavera vegetables '. A really nice Italian place in Old Town. Seating and service: the open court yard is nice and very peaceful! The staff have always been very friendly. Food: the pizza, penne, soup, and Cesar salad were all great! We went here twice actually in 1 week. The portions are very big! A small pizza feeds 2… easily! Service is excellent, portions are huge, pizza is on point and best lemonade in San Diego. If you’re eating in old town and not eating at Pizza Bella, you messed up.

Came from Utah to eat it!! So good! 10 out of 10 recommend!! We got a variety of food from pizza to spaghetti to a sandwich it was all good!!
