Pizzeria El Caserio

I’ve been to El Caserio numerous times, as it does good grilled meat. Or did! We were keen to have another good chuletón beef chop). The one they brought us was vaca gallega Galician cow). When it left Galicia, it certainly had a bone: chuletones always do unless you ask for it to be removed. Ours didn’t. It was brought on a very hot plate which is one of the best ways of ensuring that your meat doesn’t get cold before you finish it. But it does require the meat to be brought to the table pretty underdone, so you can decide how much to let it cook. Ours was approaching well done and rapidly became very well done. So it was not nice and juicy: dry would be a better description. As far as the quality of the meat is concerned, it was reasonably tasty and reasonably tender, though it did have a lot of gristle. I suspect it could have done with a few more weeks maturing but if you’re going to overcook it..... I have to report that our first course of langostinos in a sweet and sour sauce was excellent. The restaurant was very busy on a local holiday, so it was very noisy and the service not up to its usual standard. The numerous children were not enjoying meat but pizzas. They’re good and we’ve sometimes had takeaway pizzas from there and been very pleased with them. All in all, not a very successful meal. The options for eating really good meat in Conil have multiplied recently and you can also get excellent takeaway pizzas elsewhere, one of them within walking distance of where I live.

We went to this restaurant and it was really amazing. The food was so fresh, we saw the chef pick the vegetables from the garden out the back. The tomato salad was great, mixed with a pesto and garlic sauce. Pizzas were incredibly thin and delicious. Service great. Would highly recommend. Should also mention the croquettes

We ate here on our first night in conil. Food is very good. Kids loved the super thin almost flatbread pizzas. Fish omelette was also delicious. Service as excellent and it was nicely busy here so nice atmosphere also. We intend to revisit and would recommend this restaurant.

¡Qué gran hallazgo! Teníamos MUCHA hambre después de pasar una mañana soleada en la playa de Conil de la Frontera y nos topamos con esta gran pizzería. La pizza era perfectamente fina, el salmorejo refrescante y el servicio fue con una sonrisa. ¡Muy recomendable!

Fuimos con los niños un miércoles por la noche. No tenían la mayor parte del menú excepto las pizzas, que no eran muy buenas. Decepcionante.
