You may be tempted to walk by this small and unassuming restaurant in the heart of Lahr a short walk from the market square but think twice before dong so. It has existed for a very long time in its present location (I was there 30 years ago when it was also a pizzeria) and although it changed hands more than 10 years ago it is well worth a visit. Pleasant staff, most welcoming, and really excellent dishes combine for a meal that is both affordable and memorable. We were there for a New Year's dinner and enjoyed a set menu, but if that is any indication of what the Gold River staff can put together daily, you will not be unhappy. The focus is on Italian, of course, and there is a lot of care...
Kleines nettes Restaurant, gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir waren an einen Freitag Abend essen und haben sofort einen Platz bekommen obwohl wir keine Reservierung hatten. Essen ging sehr schnell. Die Vorspeise einen Salat Nizza war sehr lecker und ohne Aufforderung wurden uns gleich 2 Teller dazu gereicht. Das fanden wir sehr toll. Die Pizza mit geräucherten Lachs und Spinat war groß und sehr schmackhaft. Die Lasagne war leider etwas flüssig und sehr Käse lastig. Dafür hätte für meinen Geschmack etwas mehr Hackfleisch rein gekonnt. Aber es war auch so lecker. Zum Abschluss gab es noch einen Likör gratis. Im großen und ganzen also alles super. Danke.
Wir waren heute zu viert im La Giusa, das Essen war sehr gut. Leider meinte die Chefin, nachdem wir gefragt hatten ob 7,30€ für ein Campari pur so passen würde und die Auskunft kam, das egal ob mit oder ohne Organgensaft der Preis nicht angepasst werden könne. Danach wurde hinter der Theke über mich gelästert, leider hat Sie wohl nicht bedacht, dass ich dies verstehe. Auf Ansprache kam dann die Info, dass man nicht wieder kommen solle. Wir werden uns daran halten.
Now this was a disappointment after reading the positive reviews. It looks ugly, the service is slow and unfriendly and the food is very mediocre while prices are relatively high. We´ve never been disappointed. Comfortable, friendly, and high quality food, again and again. Run by family members, and in the family for years, it has a much more personal touch than other restaurants. A nice selection and balance of dishes.
I think this has changed its name to Guisa Restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, can only recommend the macaroni with chicken, mushroom et al. Excellent taste. The waitress was just as nice, and friendly. Pricing also good average.
Ich komme aus NRW und mein Besuch in diesem Restaurant war ein tolles Erlebnis..es war nahezu perfekt. Vielen lieben Dank,ich komme sehr gerne wieder!
