Pizzeria Lou Pichounet

Hidden away from the main local attractions is this fabulous Italian eatery. Put it in your gps before you go or ask anyone in Peymenade (next to Montauroux and before Grasse) because the place is famous but hard to find. It’s always packed with locals,...so make sure you have some extra time for a ‘aperitif’ whilst waiting or make a reservation.. The father is behind the ovens, the mother runs the place and the charming daughter was helping out during the summer break at the university. Order whatever is on the menu and add this, remove that and some more of the other thing : all fine with them ! We tried pasta, pizza and salads, all fresh, homemade and delicious. It’s more a bistro than a fancy restaurant. You go for the food and service, not the location. They love kids and come up with whatever they like that day (or remove what they don’t like). After the delicious meal you are presented with a surprisingly tiny bill. Besides the restaurant, there is not much to be found around there, but the food and hospitality by themselves are worth the detour.

Une adresse incontournable à Peymeinade pour le repas de midi.La formule du jour est renouvelée quotidiennement et les plats sont abondants et de qualité.Les pizzas sont de belle taille, bien garnies mais si vous aimez les pizzas "américaines" de 3 cm d'épaisseur changez d'adresse, ici c'est pâte fine et croustillante.Sans oublier le RIRE exceptionnel de la patronne.....

Lunch with three kids on the way from the airport, couldn't have been easier , charming staff , nice menu for both adults and kids, very enjoyable. Recommend the deserts for the kids! While not a picturesque location very accessible and easy to find

Recommended the attention of the owner and his workers is incredible, very friendly and concerned about their customers !. The food is exquisite, gourmet and at good prices.

Always a cheerful warm welcome . Pizzas home made and delicious. Portions a good size. Steak very good too.
