Pizzeria Ristorante Molino

Family of 5 visiting on vacation. This place was recommended by the owner of the airbnb, and it was totally worth it. Highlights: Clean and trendy interior. Seems like it's a standard thing, but they had a place to take off and hang our costs and hats before entering fully. Great service they brought us menus in our language and found a server who could communicate with us. we were seated quickly, and the server who could help us was found quickly when we needed him. Food very quick from order to table, and the food was steaming hot. We got foiccoia with prosciutto, and pizza. The wines we got were also good. The strawberry ice cream was devine. They had a small bag of coloring things and paper activities for the kids. They were happy and entertained. The 2 kids (6 and 7) were sharing a pizza meal. The pizza that was brought out was more than enough. It came with a dessert, and they also split that for the girls. Paying can be done in Swiss Frank's or in euros. They do take visa. We went late in the evening and in the off season so parking was abundant. There are street and parking structure options.

The food wasn't all that bad, pizza a little dry. Our biggest disappointment was the service. We got some very delicious complimentary bread and olive oil when we first arrived. After a long day of checking out the city we were very hungry and while waiting for our food we asked for some more bread. The server seemed so offended and did not bring any more bread. We finished our meal, ordered some more food, and she still had not brought the bread. I understand maybe it's culturally unacceptable for the restaurant to serve more bread, but it really isn't that big of an ask and if it helps us enjoy our meal more, why be so rude about it? Eventually she brought the bread when our meal was completely over and we were all full, after we had asked a second time. And when she did, the bread was very cold, unlike the first basket she brought out. Overall, I think the servers poor attitude completely ruined our meal. We didn't feel very welcome in the restaurant, and though the food was good, the experience was terrible because of the server.

Great Italian restaurant Service is perfect fast, correct and with an honest and confident smile and food is authentic Italian and amazing. The menu is elaborate and full of original recipes, during various visits we tried several. We particularly liked the chicken soup, gnocchi a la gorgonzola, penne a la rabiata and spaghetti al ragu (the real bolognese). What is truly great is that these Italians understand what it is to take kids into a restaurant. A special kids menu is served: drinks, pasta or pizza (incl folded crust in the shape of bunny ears) and desert for ... 10 CHF!!! On top of that their are stools near the pizza corner, and this proved to be great entertainment. Beers are available and the wine card is large, Barolo's and Amarone can be ordered.

Hmmm so I really don´t know if we just caught a bad day or if we should have opted for Pizza or if we just expected something else, but we went there yesterday and ordered a Penne arrabiata and Spaghetti Bolognese and both were just super bland. The sauces were just super boring with hardly any flavor and when I ordered some chilly oil to spice it up a bit not even that had any taste. I mean I ate the chilly and felt nothing. I like my sauce tomato y and with a twist but this sauce tasted like nothing, we had to add tons of salt, pepper and olive oil to get at least a halfway decent taste. However, the waitress was very nice and friendly and maybe we just try the pizza next time :

The waiter was super polite, the place is cozy and the food is incredible: I ate pasta with salmon and tiramisu.
