This restaurant has a lot going for it in terms of location and view. The service, however, is appalling. On the day we attended two women were attempting to serve the whole very busy terrace. When one of our party hesitated while ordering a drink,...the waitress walked off. A local man who appeared familiar with the restaurant advised us to complain as the understaffing was regularly like this. The food when it finally arrived was fine, but after sitting in the cold for over an hour, all we could do was wolf it down and leave as soon as possible. this was not our first visit, however we wanted to give them another chance. the waiter attending to our table was completely disorganized, food was slow to come (more than 1 hour for the menu of the day and cold meat platter) and about average...when it came to presentation and taste. people around us had been waiting over 1 hour for their salad so we were not isolated cases. as i said this was not our first visit, we have come in winter during ski season with the same level of service. i would strongly encourage people not to go or return; their good location makes it too easy for them so they make absolutely no effort to be friendly and provide good service which does not help the image o... The restaurant is situated in a good location. That, however, is about all that is in its favour. There is no point phoning to book a table as they never answer the phone. Having got to the restaurant after skiing all morning we hoped for a good swift meal. The first challenge is to get someone to take your order. You may think that will mean your meal will follow. Considering the meals are on the easy side to make (omelettes, salads) you would expect swift service. That would also allow the restaurant to have more than one sitting, We left after and hour and a half without our food arriving. I would not recommend anyone going here.
Book the place for lunch in winter time. When we arrived at 13:00, there were no places and most tables were booked for 13:00 or 13:30. We found a table. The place was full, but we were served fast. Unfortunately the dish of the day (20 pieces) spaghetti with meat and the part was very small. We had to order another court when we were hungry. The speciality of the place is a bread soaked in wine with lots of cheese and egg (I hung the picture). The dessert was also delicious.
Had family dinner there. Restaurant indoor has disgusting overwhelming smell of fried fat. The service was lousy. I waited half an hour. Eating is bad. Space gives dirty feeling. Our waterboy had an old bottle blanket downstairs. We brought it to the owner's attention, and it seemed more than concerned about hygiene. Will not give food there again.
