Pokok Southeast Asian Thai Cuisine

My wife, parents, and I visited this restaurant for the first time. The decor was average, with a mix of traditional Thai elements and big screen TVs. The food was tasty and reasonably priced, especially the noodle dishes we ordered, both dry and soupy, which came in decent portions. The service was just okay - when we arrived, the restaurant wasn't crowded but it took the hostess/waitress a few minutes to acknowledge us. Although not particularly friendly, we were eventually seated. Our server seemed inexperienced as she didn't know the menu well and overcharged us for dinner pricing instead of the lunch special. Despite the service issues, we would consider returning for the good food.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at this restaurant and found the prices to be reasonable, ranging from $30 to $50 per person. The food was rated a 3 out of 5, with decent options available. The service, however, was lacking and only received a 2 rating. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, earning a 4 out of 5. In terms of parking, there was plenty of space available in a free parking lot. Overall, our dining experience was satisfactory, with room for improvement in the service department.

We typically order takeout from this restaurant. Unfortunately, they forgot to include tofu in our stir fry and when we contacted them, they blocked my phone. This kind of behavior towards customers is unacceptable. It was their mistake, but they refused to acknowledge it when we brought it to their attention. Overall, we rated the service, meal type (dinner), price per person ($50-100), food quality, service, and atmosphere all as a 1 out of 5.

I wish I could give zero stars. We typically order takeout from this restaurant. However, on our most recent order, they forgot to include the main ingredient in our food. When we contacted them about the mistake, they blocked my phone number! How disrespectful and dishonest. I really enjoy this restaurant, the staff is incredibly friendly. I love having lunch in one of the cozy booths, it's nice and relaxing with dim lighting. The pad thai is fantastic, but I also really enjoy the red curry and iced tea.

I absolutely love this place! When i come to the Freehold area, i always stop in to Pokok to get the Beef Brisket Curry! Their turmeric fried rice is very good. SO GOOD!!! 5 stars Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
