We visted two days in a row, this restaurant was so good. Polster has two parts, the Gasthaus and the fine dinig restaurant.The menu choice is varied and interesting and well presented. All the diners on both days, 3 of us on the 1st day and four on the second were very happy. The fish dishes are very good as is the filet steak, but in my opinion the home reared suckling pig was very good. I wouldnt recommend you go there for the vegetarian options. There are set sampler menus or you can choose all the items a la carte. The wine menu is huge and and you can spend a lot of money. This is located in Kosbach, a village that's slowly being swallowed by "greater" Erlangen, but still feels like it's out of town. The menu is not too busy but has the staples of Bavarian cuisine, and if you like carp, you've come to the right place. Service is pleasant and I've had several good meals here, most recently a tasty meat dish. Watch out for the limited parking at busy times.Tip: they also have a separate gourmet restaurant which is worth a visit but reserve first.
we had a very pleasant experience with Polster for a nice candle light dinner, excellent and very attentive service, excellent appetizers, nice wine selection, the waitor was perfect in the recommendations, main dishes made perfectly, excellent dessert and another perfect recommendation for a dessert wine at the end. Worthwhile at reasonable expense !
Sitting out in the warmth of late summer, we enjoyed a delicious dinner of local cuisine, starting with some succulent bratwurst and sauerkraut and continuing with beautifully tender suckling pig. Too full for dessert! This was the normal restaurant, rather than the fine dining on, but the food was excellent. Their Keller beer was great.

I visited this lovely restaurant with several German and international business colleagues-- all of whom live in the area. It's clearly a local favorite! They serve traditional Franconian & Austrian food. It was a delightful meal served by a warm, cheerful staff. Cozy & charming!
Thoroughly enjoyable dinner with colleagues. Decor and ambiance was authentically Bravarian. Delicious food and wine however not all items on the menu were available. Cosy, warm and relaxed with superb service levels. Parking was troublesome!
3rd time here and the food isn't as good as before. The Zander was salty, the veal shoulder was over cooked and had no taste. Service was slow. With this performance prices aren't justified.
