Although I don't frequent fast food places and prefer supporting local, this is one of the two stores I usually go to once in a while! This popeyes is near Rockvilke Town Center, but gives very quick fast food. I usually go for chicken tenders by themselves, but this time got the combo, which comes with a buttery biscuit, drink and two sides for 1.50 more. Upgrade to lemonade is 50 cents more. I got SOOOO MUCH chicken tenders for what I paid for. Fries were good with that Cajun seasoning but wasn't as fresh since they were soggy. Still enjoyed it! The lemonade was alright too, probably would prefer other options. But the price I paid for all those chicken tenders... just wow. A great bang for my buck. I get my tenders spicy but it's not too bad honestly more like a Buffalo spicy. And the service here is chill folks are nice!
ordered the family speciality tonight for $32.00, but the manager has not met about the weekly special for the same thing for $22.00 minus a piece of ****. very disappointed. bad customer service. I'm not going there anymore. this time when I ordered, I asked to replace another page for the cookies I never ate. the young lady (cashier) told me that she could not replace anything for the cookies, because it was a special, $29.99, family meal. that didn't make any sense at all. I always ask to replace another page for the cookies, and no one has ever refuted my question. eating is eating and $29.00 is a lot of money for bad customer service. I'm not coming back here. I thought I gave them another chance, but they failed again.
I love Popeye's chicken but not this location. The staff is generally friendly and efficient. The problems are probably due to management decisions.The store closes at 10:00 but if you go after 7 or 8, it's hit or miss if they will have chicken ready. We have stood around waiting many times.The surly manager got into it with my husband once over something stupid. The kicker: they subbed chicken backs for thighs in my order last week. I ordered an 8 piece box and ended up with 4 backs*. I was too mad and tired to go back and argue.*I know for sure that those were chicken backs because I am an experienced cook. Also, it's hard to miss the spine and lack of meat on the bone.
Been to this location 3 times since I've started working in Rockville 3 weeks ago. The service has been great although today the young lady told me I couldn't use my coupon because I didn't have the receipt. I had the validation code from tellpopeyes.com. But whatever, I found someone else's receipt and used there's. The food is always hot, I'm guessing this one gets pretty busy because they are always putting fresh batches of chicken, biscuits and sides down. I will continue to frequent this location as long as I am working for the city of Rockville.
