Poppins Bedford - Reserva de mesa

Like a fool I thought I would give Poppins one more try to see if any improvement could be possible after my initial visit, having ordered the standard breakfast I waited for a much awaited English Breakfast served with a cup of tea. Some 25...minutes later with only 3 other customers, the lukewarm breakfast was brought to my table, and you guessed it, the poached egg was hard the toast was a piece of fried bread and the bacon burnt, you couldn't make it up there were about five staff nattering and hovering about, consequently I didn't attempt to eat it, though I did photograph it to show the food standards agency, as Poppin restaurant prefer not to displat their food ratings, I wonder why?

Never felt so uncomfortable in my life. Popped in for Brunch with my husband and as they weren't busy there is a young lad who is a waiter and a young girl. They kept pacing past our table and kept looking to see whether we...had finished. Clearly they were bored as not enough customers. I have never felt so rushed when having food. There is being efficient and clearing tables, but they were almost snatching things out of our hands as soon as we put them down. Will NOT be coming back!!

This place has been here as long as I can remember. And from what I can remember, it hasn't changed much if at all over the years, but that's a good thing. They've got quite a big menu and an all day breakfast menu. The prices are reasonable too. When we went it was quite busy but the service was still quick and we got our food nice and hot. The food was tasty and it was quick to pay as well, they accept contactless card payment which is a big plus for me.

decided to have breakfast here on Wednesday morning and I must say what a pleasant experience from personal to eating to cleanliness. faster service, attentiveness and care of all those who were there. also great eating, they clean up our tables when we had finished eating so we had room to keep talking. I would like to recommend this restaurant, it was clean social distancing was in the proof that workers I said were very friendly and that eating was great, well cooked and delivered on time. can't praise this restaurant enough good for...Money

Great place to go for a full English breakfast, although the menu is extensive should you want alternatives. The service is fast, efficient and friendly, the food is tasty and the prices are reasonable. What’s not to like?!

Good for breakfast, apart from very cheap and nasty sausages. Friendly staff, warm plates, inexpensive. The location attracts down and outs, but that's no fault of the restaurant. I probably won't return.

Not too busy. Very clean. Good service and a lovely big breakfast with toast and big mug of tea. We looked at other places and ended up there. Well staffed and very fast service. Thank you Reserva una mesa ahora

this was my 1st place down capuccino and speck and eier in a caffe after lockdown at poppins in bedford high street .. nice made .good social distancing and service super as usual . tim

often meet the fitness crew, pre lockdown, to the birthday breakfast. amazing and fast service, large portions, good for veggies and great lattes. personal w helpful and polite.
