Love, love this place. As far as the decor, it is very well done and a bit higher end than what you would expect from a pizza joint, but it's a totally laid-back family place. The food is just great. We had this pizza with a white sauce base with garlic, it had mushrooms and truffle oil and balsamic, and it was so amazing that I literally personally begged the owner to leave it on the menu as a permanent item. The wings were great, and my wife has had other things there that she affirms are equally great, such as the pizza with pepperoni and hot honey. I used to order takeout from this restaurant frequently. The staff at the counter were always kind and welcoming, and my orders were consistently ready when promised. I always ordered the garlic chicken wings, which were the best I've ever tasted! They were incredibly juicy and practically melted in my mouth. I was really looking forward to having them for dinner tonight, but I'm so disappointed to learn that the restaurant has closed its doors for good, especially since they always seemed so busy.
I appreciate the idea of them paying their employees a livable wage, and the food was quite good. The service was a bit slow, but I definitely plan to return to try some new dishes. The back room was chilly, and I noticed other guests complaining as most were still wearing their coats. I assume this was due to the glass garage door they've installed for the warmer months.
Completely mediocre and it cost a fortune. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts were wet and sour. They had a 9% pickup charge which is crazy and egregious. The Dry-Rub Wings were flavorless and tasted like boiled chicken from Max’s Deli. I will say that it’s nice to see a place like this in Glencoe. But this establishments needs to up their game.

Holy cannoli! Poppy’s does not disappoint. Our mozzarella sticks and Caesar salad were delicious, but the Margherita pizza truly stole the show. The crust alone is a reason to stop by, but the kind staff, fun cocktails, and positive mission will keep you coming back for more.
The food is outstanding, and the service is equally impressive. The management takes the right approach by ensuring that staff receive a fair wage and feel a sense of ownership. You should definitely consider spending your dining-out dollars at this restaurant!
Honesty is the best approach. It would be better if you were upfront about the additional 9 percent added to everyone's bill to account for your rising costs. It's not fair. And just to clarify, this is not a tip being included for you.
The pizza here is mediocre, especially considering the price. It's not much better than Domino's! The crust is decent, but if you're going to call it "East Coast style," you should really try authentic East Coast pizza in NYC first.

This is a lovely restaurant with excellent service. The staff are incredibly friendly and treat you really well. The food is delicious, including the salads, pizza, and desserts.
Cant beat the service here....extemely friendly staff. And food waa great. We had pizza and wings...both were yummy
