In an effort to discover the hidden gems of Ridgewood, i just happened to walk in an hour before closing hoping for a decent bite with fresh ingredients and impressive flavor. I was a bit skeptical at first because the cuisine is not something I get the chance to try often, and while approaching the restaurant the outside wasn't very distinct. I rarely get the chance to have really good asian food because of my gluten intolerance so going into the experience I kept my expectations moderate. Their dishes are fabulous. I love them. The person who took the drink order was very knowledgeable about wine. We were very impressed. I loved his attention to detail in explaining the wine. The waitress came and said food would come as they were ready. That is easy for the Kitchen and wait staff but tough for customers. I was expecting more thoughtfulness in service because of their high price point. They suggested getting 5~6 plates for a party of three. We ended up ordering six dishes. Omg!! What a lovely experience. I feel so lucky that this is in my neighborhood but honestly it's good enough to be a destination. They make what is gluten free legible on the menu and that means the world to me. Getting to try interesting, creative Asian food and not being worried about cross contam is so, so valuable. Two menu items were gf naturally but they were relaxed about it and willing to accommodate subs on other items. Porcelain is a beautiful restaurant with creative and delicious plant based options that are marked on the menu and change seasonally. Out of about 12 dishes at least 6 were vegan. The cherry mushroom and yuba dishes were some of the best vegan meals I’ve ever eaten! This place totally blew me away and every dish exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for Asian flavor, interesting vegetables, and a romantic ambience I highly recommend porcelain. one of the best meals I’ve had this year and hope to return for many more!! Porcelain is such a wonderful place. Dinner there was one of the best dining experiences I have had this year. For the high quality and interesting and creative dishes the price was reasonable (and even affordable in comparison to other nights out we have had at places not nearly as nice). The ambience is romantic and the food is incredible with lots of interesting plant based vegan options you’d never even notice if you weren’t looking for them. Out of the whole menu maybe over a third was vegan which blew me away. Highly recommend and will be returning often!!
It's shockingly easy to get a table here considering how good the food is, how nice the decor is, and how great the location is. Service is pretty good too. Works really well both as a neighborhood standby and as something for a special occasion. I wish the wine list was a little more extensive. But that's ok. Everything else is awesome.
This restaurant is fantastic! Very high end, creative and tasty dishes. It appears to be unassuming but when the food arrived it had us all in awe, and licking the bottom of the plates. I only wish they could do something about the aroma, which is off and lingers on your clothing for days.
I had the vegan mushroom polenta and the pumpkin pie. It was really tasty and fulfilling. Good comfort food with a wide selection of teas.

Lovely vibe nice people and very yummy food. We had the yuba and the prawns and loved both. 10/10 will return.
the black pepper prawns are damn good. maybe best thing on the menu
