The freshness of their ingredients is essential for a great hotpot experience, and they deliver with fresh soups, dipping sauces, meats, and vegetables. 4.5 stars overall. Leaning towards 5 since there are few hotpot places on LI. For me 5 stars! Because not all hot pot places have juicy beef balls, which is like a dumpling made of beef ???? Portions are decent for the price. Dad really liked theshrimp. Shared beef and pork belly. Would be nice to see a leaner short rib cut. Sauce selection is good, with lots of options.Still would like to see hoisin sauce though. Herbal broth is solid. I added bbq and chili sauce to taste. 4.5 stars Nice/vintage/unique decor; the booth seats just needed a bit more lighting. The lunch special mini hotspot was a fair deal. The herbal broth was great and tasted very homemade with all the herbal ingredients. The ma la tang was deliciousas well. A bit different from the flushing ones.
The food is tasty, but it is certainly too expensive. I would only think about coming back if I had a strong desire for it or if the portion sizes matched the prices better—either by lowering the cost or by increasing the value to make it worthwhile.
First time here, the servers were really helpful with showing us the full experience of hit pot. There was good variety of both, meats, sides and etc. A little more pricey than I thought it would be but my family and I did enjoy ourselves.
The hotpot at this restaurant is outstanding. The food is delicious and served in generous portions. I particularly appreciated the wide range of flavorings and side dishes offered. The ambiance inside is also quite lovely.
