Upon arriving at the store, we saw a sign on the door indicating that online orders were the only type being accepted, so we felt relieved to have ordered in advance. I had a disappointing experience at the restaurant due to the manager on duty. When I approached her to place an order, she asked how she could help me. After I mentioned the sandwich I wanted, she seemed confused and asked again what kind, which I assumed was about the bread, so I clarified. I would rate zero stars if I could. This Potbelly is literally never open, and even when it is it's an absolute disaster. This predates the Lexington construction as well so they can't even use that excuse. Going back YEARS now they are constantly closing early with no notice, if they open at all. PAY YOUR WORKERS. There are people to hire, if you can't find them then your wages are too stingy. I completely understand being understaffed and needing to cut back hours. But this location has been closed the past 4 times I've tried to eat there in the last week. Today I even came during their advertised open hours posted on the door and it was closed (Wednesday at 6). Again, it's understandable, but at the very least update your advertised hours.
I returned the following week, and it seemed that the hipster staff still didn’t guide customers through the ordering process. They hardly spoke, leaving me to guess whether I needed to specify what I wanted on my sandwich or if it was automatically prepared with the listed toppings.
