Prairie Ink Restaurant

On Saturday, April 27th, I called to make a reservation for 15 people for breakfast on Sunday, May the 5th. At the time of the reservation, the person taking the call said we open at noon on Sunday . I said that would be fine. FIVE...days later, Thursday, May 2nd, they call to say they can 't accommodate us for breakfast because they won 't be serving breakfast on that day due to another group coming in. Thoroughly frustrated at the fact that we now have two days to figure out what to do for breakfast on Sunday and communicate to 15 people, I went there in person to speak to the manager. A lovely setting in the context of a book store, nestled in a cozy corner with ambience and natural lighting! Yes our party of 5 included a call for a reservation with a pleasant and accommodating staff experience, which ensued upon arrival. Excellent selection and...choices for flavours spanning a multitude of palates. Our selections for appetizers were delicious and spot-on. 4 out of 5 entree selections were plenty of food for light and heavy appetites, however the French meat-pie was less desirable, bland and dry. We will return!

Housed in the McNally Robinson Bookstore (which is worth a visit itself! , Prairie Ink is a warm and cozy restaurant, perfect for friends catching up and families enjoying a meal. The menu has something for everyone from delicious soups to pastas, with accessible flavours reminiscent...of homestyle cooking. The desserts are not to be missed! From sacher to raspberry tarts, this is the perfect place to sample more than one of these treats.

this is my third time here in the beautiful prairie ink restaurant, in the back of mcnally robinson in the grant park mall....below the books .with the sun come in every big window....lovely little space. very friendly and fair fast service....and any meal we have...hat was delicious, unique and enjoyed....we would recommend this restaurant for its selection of dips, friendly service and the beautiful location....cheers

we were at breakfast. service was exceptional and everyone was very friendly. eating was amazing. eating came hot and as ordered. the atmosphere is really nice in this restaurant. clean and bright. I am back.
