Do yourself a favor and visit this store! I've never experienced such excellent service from a small business, nor have I felt as appreciated for my patronage. The quality and variety of the products they offer are exceptional. They pay close attention to every detail and take the time to answer questions or accommodate special requests. This is truly a customer-focused business, a rarity these days. I live in Wheaton and willingly make the 45-minute round trip to shop at Prime 'N' Tender, instead of going to the meat store just a five-minute walk away, which is the complete opposite in every way. Treat yourself and enjoy!
I discovered this lovely restaurant after taking my Labrador to the Hinsdale Animal Hospital across the street. We were eager to try a new sandwich spot, but what we found was so much more! They offer a fantastic selection, including hot lunch options from 11 AM to 3 PM, and the place is really clean and inviting. They also sell a variety of frozen goods, which are absolutely delicious. You have to try the fresh cannoli; they fill them to order! I enjoyed a panini with grilled chicken added, while my husband opted for the steak burger. We even bought a frozen meat lasagna to enjoy for dinner later.
Where do I even begin? The owner and staff are truly wonderful people. The meat here is exceptional; I can't imagine buying tri-tip anywhere else. The sides that accompany your meal are fantastic as well. This place has an old-school butcher vibe, and cash is king—plus, you get a discount when you pay in cash. Whether you're stopping in to grab steaks for the family or taking some to a friend's house, it's a great choice. Everyone I’ve sent to P-N-T has become a repeat customer.
We ordered Beef Wellington this Xmas but was very disappointed! The size/oz of the meat was so small in a large pastry dough it had no taste? for the price it was embarrassing to serve. The 1-hr instructions were incorrect which overcooked the meatinside the dough to a well done smaller bite. It was an awful meal for our first experience!
