Privada Wine &Tapas... Tapas are a wide variety of appetizers, or snacks in Spanish cuisine according to Wikipedia. In Privada, in St. Albert, it 's of Argentinean cuisine origin. Doesn 't that sound so Old World, so romantic... Not only the type of cuisine sounds romantic and adventurous...the experience is absolutely amazing to the taste buds. Whenever I am meeting friends or family in St.Albert this is always my go to for delicious tapas and drinks! The owners and chefs believe in serving everything as seasonally as possible, with means a rotating menu, and for me generally different things to try each season! I have honestly never ordered something I didn't like here. They have a great selection of wines, local beer and cocktails, so anything you want is covered. One of my favourites, if you're looking to indulge is the apple tart-tatin which is baked fresh to order and it comes out all warm and amazing. The food and service were both excellent and the atmosphere was very good but the prices were ridiculously inflated. The bread plate cost five dollars and was five (for two people) half slices of nondescript bread with a spread so disgusting looking I didn't dare try it. My husband said it might have been brown butter, but that isn't normally cold!! The tapas sized fish of the day (market price) was yellow tail tuna and turned out when we got the check to cost $28 for a very tiny portion. I don't think we would return.

This place has gone downhill. Half the drink items on the menu were unavailable, not the first time this has happened to us. Also, the place was not clean. Very disappointing experience, will give our business to better local options. Reserva una mesa ahora
