This is another gem from Overthrow Hospitality in the East Village. It says it's styled after an English pub but to me it seems more like sophisticated underground bar vibes. Regardless, it's a comfortable place but can be a bit loud. The menu is small bit everything has been phenomenal. The nachos and sliders are my favorite. The specialty is beer they have a really good selection on draft and are happy to discuss with you. Order and pay at the bar. Beer prices are high, food prices about what I'd expect for Manhattan (and the food is filling).
If you love craft beer, a chill vibe, AND the east village, then you'll love Proletariat!It's a very spacious place that provides a beer menu on the wall right when you walk in.They have seating but no wait staff so you'll have to order your drinks at the bar. The bartender was very knowledgeable and very friendly!If you want to have a nice conversation at a place that isn't too loud while enjoying a variety of beer, then I highly recommend Proletariat. I'll definitely return. ?
I loved the original spot, the new spot is beautiful. Unique beers, the food is pretty good too, but some of the bartenders are awful. Barely looks up from his phone, seems annoyed that we came in. We asked to taste a single beer, and he was very annoyed and said no other tastes. We’ve had this bartender multiple times and he makes it extremely unwelcome. Won’t come back when he’s there
Great restaurant, but the bathroom experience was quite odd. It's very dimly lit, bathed in a gloomy red light, which makes it difficult to see anything. Washing your hands becomes a challenge, and while the overall cleanliness of the restaurant appears to be good, I can't help but wonder if the darkness is meant to hide how dirty the bathroom really is.

An absolutely fantastic place. Very intimate, perfect for a date or a day drink. Always a great selection very a well rounded selection of beer styles, which is sometimes hard to find these days. Cantillon pours, too! Bartender was super friendly as well.
Love this place. Excellent selection of beers. Logan is wonderful and offers great recommendations. The food is good too, esp considering it’s a meatless menu. If you like beer, I recommend coming to try their unique selection.
Nice ambience. Very limited options for food. The beyond burger was good. If you’re going in happy hour, you’ll get burger, fries and a Pilsner for $20. So, not a bad deal. Cheers!
The cauliflower bites were absolutely delicious. The fries were quite good as well, and the selection of beers is enjoyable.
