I read a lot of reviews about this place so I decided to give it a try and wasn't disappointed. I had the carne asada fries without beans along with two fish tacos and I even got a strawberry churro. Everything was hot and tasty! The quality of their beef is pretty good and I like the fish they use. The service was warm as well as fast. The atmosphere was clean and quiet but I did observe that the floors needed to swept under and around multiple tables in some areas. Over all I would visit again when craving Mexicali food and I would recommend to friends. The portions were huge. I ended up still having a whole lot of food left over for later! Thanks Purple Burrito!

I really wanted to love this place. Cool decor, fun name. It was just ... eh.I will say, I'm docking a star because the machine asked me for a tip when I ordered. I ordered at a counter, 17 mins yup) later our 2 dishes were ready so they called our number and I went to the counter to get it. Just like I do at McDonalds. Love tipping, fully support it, but that's too much. 0 service involved other than poking my request in the machine. The food wasn't bad it just wasn't interesting in any way. We had a burrito and taquitos. Fresher than Taco Bell, but not much.Sorry to say we likely won't be back. There are too many better options :

I’m from Chula Vista, CA (San Diego) and this is definitely not SD Mexican style food…I’ve tried this place 3 times now. Yesterday I had a purple burrito with shrimp added. First, the tortilla tasted like it was an undercooked, doughy, microwaved tortilla bought from a store. The carne asada tasted like hamburger meat/old steak. The shrimp was decent! The rolled tacos weren’t bad too! I’m told that the fish tacos (and tacos in general) are really good but I haven’t tried one yet. Good people running the place and it has a good vibe, just not San Diego Mexican food lol.

we are from the west coast. this place hits the spot with southern California style Tex Mex food. the portions are big and its affordable.. I like the different salsas but you will pay for each one...the staff is friendly.. I deducted a star because the wait for food can be painfully long even if the place is empty cause they make a ton of to go orders also. we literally waited almost a half hour for 3 burritos on a Monday late afternoon. Also be warned, they don't have any prices on the menu. as a customer I feel that is incredibly inconvenient. Reserva una mesa ahora

The food was just okay. Definitely you get what you pay for. No pricing was on the menu and with it being the first time we were in we weren't sure how expensive it was going to be. We got a burrito and quesadilla, definitely go with the burrito. They pile it with meat. Beef was the best barbacoa was dry and carne asada was fatty/had a lot of gristle. Mild salsa was good, hot salsa was bitter. Guac needed lime juice and/or a red onion. Personally wouldn't go back, but a nice place to get a quick bite that's not very expensive.

I 'm from San Diego. This place advertises California style Mexican food. It 's all true! When we moved here ten years ago. I thought I would never eat a real burrito again. So glad we found this place! It always takes me back to what I missed most about leaving there... the fanatic, taco shop food! Love this place!Food: 5/5

Great people here. Building easy to see from road. Parking is a little difficult with larger cars and trucks. Food is ok. They use roast for their steak dishes and tastes like eating roast if ordering shredded meat dish. Two tacos and rice and beans dish is really good. Handicap accessible.

I first come from San Diego been out here 13 years found the Purple Burrito and loved it. Don't know what happened it's okay. And still have to pay for your hot sauce I hate when I go back it's just not like it used to be. But it it's better than Taco BellFood: 3/5 Reserva una mesa ahora

This is probably my favorite restaurant in Springfield. The prices are very reasonable for a large amount of delicious food. The service is always good and they're always very nice. I'll keep going here forever if this restaurant stays as good as it is.Food: 5/5
